About Julia Krump, LCSW

I help people recover from religious trauma and relationship trauma. Often, we develop people-pleasing and perfectionism to help us survive these types of trauma. And it works… for a while. But then you notice that you’re deeply resentful of others, hard on yourself, and have lost touch with who you are. Your coping mechanisms - people-pleasing and perfectionism - are destroying your relationship with your Self, the most important relationship for healing your trauma.

Working with me, you’ll learn how to radically love and support yourself as you move through your healing process. We talk about what trauma is, setting boundaries, learning self-compassion, and reconnecting with who you are. If you’re curious about ketamine, we can explore the use of that tool for reconnection to your sense of Self and clarity for healing.

I’m not here to “fix” you because you’re not broken. You’ve heard that tired story before and it's time for a new approach. I am here to connect you back to yourself and build tools for your healing, guided by your internal healing wisdom and your deepest intentions for your life. This is your invitation to show up, speak up, and find your Self again. I want to help you explore how to create the life you want and let go of the one you felt you had to do.

The life I want now includes living in my most favorite place in the world: the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. I love a good craft beer. I’m an outdoor enthusiast (though my knees would disagree), I love my dog, Belle, and have found a trusting and safe love in a partner who supports me as I continue to heal. I continue to learn to step away from old expectations and forge my own path – the one that supports my own needs and allows me to care for others in a healthy way.

In my downtime, I can usually be found with my nose in a book, crafting, cooking vegetarian food, hiking, walking Belle, or exploring what Fort Collins has to offer in Old Town.

My Mission

I’m not here to fix you because you are not broken.

I am here to connect you back to yourself and build self-compassion for your healing.

I will walk with you as you explore and discover your own capacity to give yourself your deepest heart’s desire. I’ll help you find your agency and trust in your own inner healing wisdom to help you find the pathway that is truly yours.

My work is informed by your deepest intention for yourself and together, we’ll explore what that is. What do you want most for yourself? What would your life look like if you had that?

We’ll explore what is getting in the way of living your best life. We’ll build more access to your own thoughts and feelings, and more capacity to hold what hurts and give yourself compassion and grace.

I utilize an approach called NARM, which gets underneath the symptoms of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and burnout to see what’s driving them. Together, we’ll explore how you can best heal these painful behaviors in yourself and give yourself the love and acceptance you’re seeking from others.

I am here for you.

My approach is one of curiosity and gentle questioning. I would be honored to walk beside you as you begin to ask yourself who you are now, and where you’re going next. Let’s get curious together about your one unique and beautiful life, and see what is standing in the way of moving forward. Together, we can begin to break down shame, fear, pain, and guilt, and start to embrace and support who you really are with compassion. I trust you, and I want to show you that you can, too.
